Paris – First couple days


After a lovely relaxing week in Austria and Germany, we were ready for Paris. We drove 5 hours across Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and France.  The landscape flattened out gradually but was still beautiful. We stopped at the Luxembourg American Military Cemetery along the way.  It was quite moving with about 5,000 American military buried there, including General Patton, mostly from the Battle of the Bulge. Europe – Driving across Austria, Melk Abbey, and some Salzburg


An amazing day.  We began in Vienna, packing up and making our way via public transportation to the car rental store.  It was still hot and we had all our luggage.  Now my family knows why I said pack light.  We made it…reservation waiting.  Now on to the next adventure…driving a stick shift in a foreign country
